A recent survey of our residents found that many families wanted more mental health services. That was particularly true for new mothers.

And so, Lake Worth West Resident Planning Group worked with Health Mothers, Health Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County to bring their Circles of Moms program to our community.

The program offered emotional support groups to help pregnant and postpartum women overcome anxiety and depression. Circles also created a place to share feelings and connect with other mothers in our community.

Sessions were held in April in English and Spanish. The program is supported by Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County and Jewish Women’s Foundation.

“This program got great results,” said Rhonda Rogers, executive director of Lake Worth West Resident Planning Group. “It really brought a lot of our mothers together and gave them the space to talk.”
